Humphrey Kayange inducted to the World Rugby Hall of Fame

Former Kenya Rugby Sevens Captain Humphrey Kayange has been inducted into the World Rugby hall of Fame 2021 alongside five other great athletes.
He announced his retirement from Rugby in October 2016 at the age of 34. He was part of the team that reached to the semi finals in 2009 putting Kenya in the world map of athletes. The announcement was made via the Word Rugby official twitter account which congratulated Humphrey along side five others.
While asked to comment about his induction, the former captain said:
Just looking at the list of the Hall of Fame in terms of the names that are there, many players I’ve adored and looked up to growing up. It’s amazing, unbelievable that i’m able to share a platform with them.

Earlier this Humphrey Kayange was appointed to the International Olympic Committee commission and that was also a good news to Kenya, as he is an experienced athlete
His former colleague and friend Dennis Ombachi said:
He mentored me through my professional career after we played together at the Olympics and that, for me, was the epitome of my career

He has been a great servant of the game, leading his country to its various exploits over the years and bringing rugby back into the Olympics
